Greetings Friends!
The waxing Moon in Gemini gets us off to a pretty good start, but is closely followed by the First Quarter Moon where we will need to check and possibly reboot our plans for this lunar cycle. In addition Mercury returns to forward motion, but it must catch up to its pre-retrograde position (which occurs 6 April 2013) before we are truly free of retrograde surprises. Continue to double check your plans and continue your self-care this week to cope with the week’s stresses
One last note before I begin the predictions, Spring begins this week–and we’re definitely feeling the heat in Los Angeles already. Hopefully you’re enjoying warmer temps in your neck of the woods too and now on with the show (Note: all times indicated in this blog are PDT).
Sunday 17 March 2013 (3 Stars): Moon square Neptune at 6:39 AM hints at self-delusion, mental confusion or even possible deceptions by others. It goes without saying that with this kind of energy present you’ll want to hold off on making agreements until clarity of mind returns (or as much clarity as one can muster while Mercury is retrograde in Pisces anyway). You’re likely to be up early thanks to a sextile between the Moon and Mars at 7:29 AM, but don’t count on hearing much good news when the Moon squares Mercury at 10:30 AM. Hold off on key communications projects and avoid making requests at this time as you’re not likely to receive the answers you want or need.
Speaking of Mercury, it makes its direct station at 1:03 PM and will begin to make up its lost territory in the next couple of weeks (thank goodness). Bright ideas are available to those who need them for problem solving or creative projects when the Moon forms a sextile to Uranus at 2:59 PM. You’ll feel optimistic and back on top of things when the Moon conjoins Jupiter at 6:48 PM as we close out the weekend and prepare for the start of the work week.
Monday 18 March 2013 (4 Stars): We have no exact aspects today, which means there will be nothing blocking your success (except whatever energy you bring to situations). A little self-care in the morning and positive intentions should help you create a positive start to your work week.
Tuesday 19 March 2013 (2 Stars): A square between the Moon and Venus at 5:18 AM may, unfortunately, have you dealing with financial or romantic challenges; the challenges continue when the First Quarter Moon (Moon square the Sun; 29 degrees of Gemini) clocks in at 10:27 AM. Review your plans for this lunar cycle and make changes to get your goals back on track. The Moon is void of course after that last aspect, but quickly enters Cancer at 11:55 AM and then our focus moves to issues around home and family concerns.
There will be inspiration aplenty when the Moon trines Neptune at 7:39 PM, whether you are seeking ideas for creative projects or reconnection to source, you’ll have what you need. Communications projects receive a hefty boost when the Moon trines Mercury at 11:54 PM, so take care of your key written or verbal projects at this time.
Wednesday 20 March 2013 (1 Star): The Moon square Mars at 12:32 AM hints at possible heated exchanges with others or other sleep scuttling challenges in the early hours of the day, so you might want to have the melatonin and lavender essential oils ready to go at bedtime. The Sun enters Aries at 4:02 AM, also known as the Vernal Equinox–so happy Spring everyone! Shocks and surprises of the unwanted kind arrive via a Moon-Uranus square at 4:05 AM; be prepared to deal with wild or eccentric behavior from others if you’re up and about at this hour.
Organization, planning and de-cluttering get the nod when the Moon trines Saturn at 9:41 AM, but we may find ourselves at odds with our boss or other important personage when the Moon opposes Pluto at 11:01 AM; with a bit of forethought you can probably hit upon an amicable agreement all parties can agree to…the Moon is void of course after that last aspect until tomorrow night, so avoid starting new projects in the meanwhile.
Thursday 21 March 2013 (0 Stars): Venus enters Aries at 8:15 PM bringing our focus to our personal financial and beautification projects–hey, spring has sprung, so think about what you might want to do to look and feel your best. The Moon finally enters Leo at 11:50 PM; enjoy creative/romantic projects for the next couple of days.
Friday 22 March 2013 (5 Stars) A plethora of aspects descend today beginning with a love and money supportive trine between the Moon and Venus at 12:14 AM (a late night date gets better after mid-night *wink*). Intuitive prompts may haunt your dreams when the Moon trines the Sun at 3:41 AM, so make sure to have pen and paper at your bedside to capture prophetic gems. You may feel the need for speed or other wild adventures when Mars conjoins Uranus at 11:17 AM, but don’t let your better judgement get lost in the hurly burly of your emotions. The Moon trines Uranus at 3:38 PM and you (or others) will probably still want to be a bit wild and crazy or may find yourself deluged with exciting creative downloads; either way, look for a walk on the wild side at this time.
The need for passion, action or assertiveness returns when the Moon trines Mars at 3:54 PM and we will sail into the evening hours buoyed by feelings of brotherly love and optimism when the Moon sextiles Jupiter at 8:05 PM. All that uplifting energy hits a wall when the Moon squares Saturn at 8:28 PM, so be prepared to have some challenge present itself. It’s likely there will be no easy answers, at least for now; be prepared to make concessions for peace.
Saturday 23 March 2014 (5 Stars): We haven’t any exact aspects today and it’s the weekend, so party hearty and enjoy the energy of a waxing Leo Moon. Next week sports a Full Moon in Libra, highlighting culminations in partnerships of all sorts, so if you have any projects with partners you’d like to bring to completion, now is the time to get moving!
