We begin the week with the waxing Moon in Taurus, but it quickly becomes a void of course Moon. The work week begins under communications oriented Gemini and we make our way through the week to Saturday’s Full Moon in Leo. Be prepared for people to be a bit tense or testy; pencil in some down time for exercise, meditation and increased rest as we move toward Saturday’s fireworks (Note: all times indicated in this blog are PST).
Sunday 20 January 2013 (0 Stars): One lone aspect at 10:16 AM (a square between the Moon and Mars); leaves us feeling frustrated and perhaps even temperamental. If you aren’t the one feeling emotionally overwhelmed, be glad, but also beware as there may be others who aren’t able to keep their emotional balance. The Moon is void of course till 6:04 AM Monday morning; make sure you postpone new endeavors until after that time.
Monday 21 January 2013 (4 Stars): The Moon enters Gemini at 6:04 AM getting us up and running to a fast paced, chatty day–but then we enter a hazy, confused period when the Moon squares Neptune at 9:53 AM. Escapist and self-sabotaging tendencies rule during this period, so put off decision making or agreements until your thinking is more on point–like this afternoon! You’ll not have to wait long for some Guidance from Spirit, though, about how to proceed; a trine between the Moon and the Sun at 9:53 AM may offer you some actionable ideas you can take to the bank!
Your thinking clears up and so do communications when the Moon trines Mercury at 3:13 PM; common sense rules, so you can make decisions with a lot more confidence! Enjoy a fun outing with friends or think of some original, unique things you can do for your key projects when the Moon forms a sextile to Uranus at 4:49 PM. Optimism and good luck finish the day as the Moon conjoins Jupiter at 7:13 PM, not a bad way to start the work week! Oh, and happy Martin Luther King day to my fellow Americans!
Moon in Gemini colors: Orange, yellow, green, black or blue, red or silver. Crystals: Jade, agate, moss agate, apophyllite, tiger’s eye or moonstone. Incense/Essential oils: Mint, bergamot, lavender or dragon’s blood.
Tuesday 22 January 2013 (5 Stars): Though we can’t boast a ton of positive aspects, we do have positive ones that prevent us from having to dodge challenging Celestial energy bullets, so we’ll count it as all good! To begin, you’ll want some melatonin before you hit the sack Monday night as your mind may tumble all over the place thanks to a Mercury-Uranus sextile at 2:28 AM (oh, and turn off your phone too). You (or someone around you) may be in a talkative mood when Mercury trines Jupiter at 6:26 PM–really big ideas or projects benefit from this aspect.
Wednesday 23 January 2013 (5 Stars): The Moon trine Mars at 3:42 AM suggests you should get out the melatonin before you hit the sheets Tuesday night too. The Moon is void of course after that aspect until 7:00 PM, at which point it enters emotional and home focused Cancer. Keep in mind you’ll want to avoid starting new projects until after the Moon switches signs at 7:00 PM.
Make time for meditation, creative or inspirational projects when the Moon trines Neptune at 10:36 PM.
Moon in Cancer colors: All shades of blue, green, sea green, grey green, white or silver. Crystals: Moonstone, pearl, rose quartz, onyx or opal.
Thursday 24 January 2013 (2 Stars): An early morning square between the Moon and Uranus at 5:45 AM greets us as we awaken, so beware of irritability or wild and crazy behavior from self or others. Get ready for a secret to be revealed when the Moon opposes Pluto at 3:18 PM–this as we’re building toward Saturday evening’s Full Moon! Duty calls when the Moon trines Saturn at 5:00 PM; organize your key projects, plan, or clean up to get the most from this aspect. We close the day with wild creativity and synchronistic meetings or opportunities when the Sun forms a sextile to Uranus at 8:45 PM.
Friday 25 January 2013 (1 Star): Get ready to hear some things you don’t want to hear when Mercury squares Saturn at 10:42 AM; delays and restrictions to your key plans are likely at this time. You won’t like the news in love or money matters much better when the Moon opposes Venus at 12:35 PM–perhaps this is the root cause of the restrictions and delays with the previous aspect? In any case, be prepared for a case of the moody blues when this aspect arrives. The Moon is void of course after that last aspect until tomorrow morning, which all but negates the benefit of the trine between the Sun and Jupiter at 7:56 PM; ordinarily this aspect might bring creative genius or a great romance, but under the aegis of a void of course Moon it’s a check we can’t cash. Que sera, sera.
Saturday 26 January 2013 (2 Stars): The Moon enters Leo at 6:20 AM as the prelude to our Full Moon, but we have to wait till 4:52 PM for our first aspect–a clever trine between the Moon and Uranus at 4:52 PM. Hang out with friends, work on creative projects or spend some time in meditation–downloads will be interesting at the least, maybe even downright ingenious! A sextile between the Moon and Jupiter at 6:36 PM brings a boost to your mood to buffer the Full Moon energies that arrive at 8:38 PM (at seven degrees of Leo); if you have planets early in Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius or Taurus–this party is for you! As it so happens, this Full Moon sits directly on my Sun-Uranus conjunction in Leo (I’m tempted to dig a hole and hide until this Full Moon is over). I’ll let you know what pops up for me in the wake of this Full Moon in next week’s predictions…
Moon in Leo colors: Red, gold, orange, green or yellow. Crystals: Rose quartz, tiger’s eye, ruby, amber, garnet or peridot. Incense/Essential oils: Myyrh, sandalwood, amber, frankincense or musk.
