The waxing Moon in Pisces gives way to an Aries Moon Saturday morning, setting up this month’s Full Moon, also known as the Harvest Moon. Friday is a one star day, Saturday is a one star day and and so is Sunday; so this weekend we definitely need to attend to our self-care rituals to stay calm and better able to cope with the challenging energies of the Full Moon.
While Fire natives (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) ordinarily benefit from the energy of an Aries Moon transit, in this instance they are the guests of honor for the Full Moon–something they may find they’d like to pass on. Cancer, Libra and Capricorn natives are also likely to find this Full Moon a bit of a roller coaster due to their square and oppositional positions to the sign of Aries. You might want to stick to pink, white and yellow shades rather than intense reds during this transit–you won’t need to add any additional fuel to this fire. Amethyst, bloodstone, coral, or carnelian stones are a good idea for helping you maintain your connection to Source during this period and for protecting your energy field. Frankincense is a great scent for helping to maintain a sense of calm in the middle of a hectic situation; try it in essential oils or as an incense as needed.
Friday 28 September 2012 a Moon-Jupiter square at 4:30 AM suggests a tendency to over do; don’t promise too much, spend too much or take seriously the overinflated words of others at this time (Note: all times indicated in this blog are PDT). You can power through a work out or any other task that requires stamina and determination when the Moon trines Mars at 7:35 PM. Note that the Moon is void of course after that last aspect, so avoid launching new enterprises until after the Moon enters Aries–better yet, until after the Full Moon fireworks have died down a bit.
Saturday 29 2012 begins with a sleep delaying Sun-Uranus opposition at 12:16 AM that requires careful balancing of our freedom and creativity needs, especially as it relates to our key partnerships. Later the Moon enters Aries at 6:14 AM. There is a definite need for reigning in our wilder and more self oriented tendencies in light of the fact that this is a Full Moon day; compromise is the key word here. Expect to run into a few stubborn types though, perhaps your boss or a VIP type who wants it ‘their way’ when the Sun squares Pluto at 10:54 AM; you probably won’t have much choice but to give them what they want–the sooner the better! Note that the effect of these intense energies is likely to linger through the day, rather than ebb and fall quickly as most aspects do. In short, be aware people may behave in contentious ways for much of the day.
Great creativity, astounding spiritual downloads and even a bit of wild fun is possible when the Moon conjoins Uranus at 6:40 PM, but you really want to play it safe and not be out and about when the Moon squares Pluto at 7:34 PM; this is especially true for women. Stay away from people who are known to have temper issues and avoid unsafe areas–no exceptions! The Full Moon arrives at 8:19 PM (at seven degrees of Aries)–so having all the Uranian and Plutonic energy swirling in the middle of of a Full Moon event is definitely a sign to be cautious and watchful for one’s safety. If you have planets near seven degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn you will especially want to avoid being out in potentially dangerous places or with people known to have bouts of bad temper.
Sunday 30 2012 the energies of the Full Moon will be with us for the next day or so, but the Universe is kind and gives us just one aspect, a sextile between the Moon and Jupiter at 1:40 PM. May the Universe shower us all with a bit of peace and good fortune in the aftermath of Saturday’s rather scary Full Moon line-up!
