Astrology Predictions for Friday thru Saturday (17-19 August 2012)

Greetings Friends!

We wrap up the work week with a beautiful new lunar cycle.  While the lingering energies from the last Mercury retrograde are on their way out, we can line up new plans and prepare to launch them with quite a bit less intrusive energy from the Cosmos.  The Moon becomes void of course at 10:55 AM and doesn’t enter Virgo until 5:33 PM; spend the void of course period finishing up old projects in preparation for new beginnings after the Moon changes signs in the late afternoon.

Friday is a four star day with a healthy bit of void of course energy after the New Moon, Saturday is a three star day and Sunday hasn’t any aspects–but the moon is void of course all day, so we’ll call it a four star day.  A bit of self-care work is probably a good bet because the energy will still be low over the weekend as the new lunar cycle gets under way.

Moon in Virgo offers earth sign natives (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn) the edge as we roll into this weekend.  Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius may find the Virgo Moon challenging, but we can all play along to Virgo’s tune by wearing shades of black, brown, blue, tan, green or gray.  Try peridot, agate, moss agate, carnelian, celestite or amethyst crystals to keep your vibration high; lavender, mint, rosemary or peppermint teas, incense or essential oils give a sense of cleanliness and naturalness that the Virgo Moon transit finds comforting.

Friday 17 August 2012 begins with a discipline and organizational focused Sun-Saturn sextile at 5:05; rise early and get your key tasks taken care of before the Moon becomes void of course (Note:  all times indicated in this blog are PDT).  The theme of order and discipline continues when the Moon forms a sextile to Saturn at 8:39 AM.  The New Moon clocks in at 8:54 AM at 25 degrees of Leo, offering us an opportunity to focus on creativity, the needs of our children, entertainments and fun as well as finding romance!

A sextile between the Moon and Mars at 10:55 AM ordinarily gives a good deal of get up and go, but since the energies are pretty low and the Moon is void of course after that aspect, finish up old projects rather than beginning new things until the Moon enters Virgo at 5:33 PM.  An opposition between the Moon and Neptune at 8:57 PM leaves us prey to all kinds of hazy emotions, misleading information and even a bit of delusional thinking.  Best to make decisions when our thoughts and emotions are less muddled.

Saturday 18 August 2012 the Moon trines Pluto at 6:13 AM giving our prayer, affirmations and law of attraction work a huge boost.  A Moon-Venus sextile is great for a bit of self-care at your favorite salon, a meal with someone you love or a bit of shopping to decorate your home.  Think frugal though; Virgo loves to save money!  This is especially so since a) the Moon squares Jupiter at 4:26 PM putting the kibosh on huge financial outlays and b) the Moon is void of course until tomorrow evening.  Now might be a good time to plan a restful retreat!  Mercury trine Uranus at 4:30 PM will stir up some thrilling news, ingenious ideas and lightning bolt realizations about important situations; make sure you capture those insights before they disappear.

Sunday 19 August 2012 we are aspect free the entire day and in a void of course zone until 9:45 PM when the Moon enters Libra.  Spend the day resting, meditating, enjoying a message or getting in some relaxing yoga or Qi-Gong work.  Your body will thank you when the work week begins!
