We are within a week of being completely finished with Mercury’s retrograde shadow (woo hoo). I remember saying at the beginning of the year that you may find your plans stymied, off track or just completely unworkable if you tried major launches prior to the 22nd of August of 2012. And now that the major slew of retrogrades (for personal planets) is just about done, reassess what you want to complete before 2012 ends. We’ll be running hard to complete our goals before the next Mercury retrograde in November 2012.
Wednesday we quickly get into a void of course period (1:21 AM) that doesn’t end until 11:05 AM when the waning Moon enters Leo. We also have a slew of not so great aspects in the wee hours of the morning (though the energy of these aspects resonates through the day, this is one set of aspects that makes me really happy to be on PDT). Wednesday is a two star day and we enter the dark of the Moon portion of this lunar cycle in the early evening hours. Thursday is a five star day that sets us up for the New Moon this Friday; it’s almost time to launch those plans for world domination 😉
The waning Moon in Leo may not boast it’s normal leonine high energy due to it being in the last (low energy) portion of this cycle. Fire signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius take the lion’s share of the benefits of this placement while Aquarians may find this a taxing placement to deal with. Scorpio and Taurus natives may feel a bit off kilter as well. Shades of orange, red, green, gold or yellow give a nice boost to your energy and blend seamlessly with the energy of the Leo Moon transit. Gold, tiger’s eye, rose quartz or diamond jewelry is sufficiently showy (I can say that, I’m a Leo) to please the ‘royal lion’ while frankincense, copal, myrrh, or dragon’s blood or sandalwood incense or essential oils are spicy enough to raise your feelings of self esteem and confidence when the going gets tough.
Wednesday 15 August 2012 begins with a sleep wrecking square between the Moon and Mars at 1:15 AM; melatonin, sleep CD’s, and a dash of lavender spritzed on your pillow may help you ease off to sleep without challenges and (hopefully) no interruptions (Note: all times indicated in this blog are PDT). The Moon square Saturn at 1:21 AM may give rise to feelings of anxiety or fear in the wee hours of the morning and aren’t helped by the fact the Moon becomes void of course with that last aspect. This is really not a great time to start any endeavor, try to wait until after the New Moon Friday evening. Trouble with lovers or money may dog your dreams as Venus opposes Pluto at 2:09 AM while a Mars-Saturn conjunction at 3:37 AM has the potential to escalate into harsh words or even fist fights–if you’re up at that hour. All in all, it doesn’t look like we get a great night’s sleep before it’s time to be up and about our regular business Wednesday morning; don’t forget the Moon enters Leo at 11:05 AM.
Much later in the day, a conjunction between the Moon and Mercury at 8:24 PM offers stellar opportunities to communicate with ease via the written or spoken word–so try to nail down that important communications project at that time. More unsettling money or love issues crop up thanks to a square between Venus and Uranus at 11:49 PM; your words of wisdom or love may go unheard as others are likely to be unyielding or unwilling to change their minds at this time.
Thursday 16 August 2012 the Moon trine Uranus at 2:04 AM may sprinkle you with prophetic dreams or clever ideas–make sure you have pen and paper by your bedside to capture them! You catch a lucky break when the Moon forms a sextile to Jupiter at 10:32 AM, make the best of it!
